SNCF Connect launches its app on ChatGPT

At a time when artificial intelligence is profoundly transforming digital uses, SNCF Connect, the all-in-one solution for sustainable mobility, is experimenting with the integration of some of its functions into the ChatGPT app space. This initiative is part of a dynamic of innovation, aimed at exploring new ways of interacting with its services.

Through this integration, SNCF Connect is offering passengers a new way to prepare for their train journeys, through a simple dialogue based on the uses and conversational capabilities of ChatGPT.
Accessible from the ChatGPT interface (website and app), this first version enables users to:

  • Search for a train journey in natural language for 1 one-way passenger;
  • Consult different travel options: direct routes, "cheapest", "fastest", commercial maps, transport operators... ;
  • View detailed trip information.

The search result can be used to view key information such as routes, available fares and commercial maps, while the final transaction remains within the SNCF Connect ecosystem.

This experiment is only the first step: it aims to test usage, measure the interest of this type of interface and better understand the role of these tools in trip preparation, before considering possible developments.

For 26 years, SNCF Connect & Tech has been innovating to facilitate access to sustainable mobility and simplify everyday travel. This experiment is part of that continuity, with a progressive approach focused on the benefits for passengers.
