Facilitating access to transport for all is a key priority for French regions today. However, each region faces its own challenges, such as the fragmentation of services and the difficulty of access to information for users, whether occasional, regular or schoolchildren.

To meet these regional mobility challenges, David Brottet reviews a solution proposed by SNCF Connect & Tech: an integrated white-label or grey-label approach with three key solutions:

  • the creation of a website and an 'all-in-one' application for users, to centralise the various transport options;
  • a single, platform interoperable between regions for planning, purchasing and ticket delivery;
  • a 'pay-as-you-go' payment solution.
